The Trusted are back with a brand new single entitled No Real Control and it’s another blast in the right direction. Following a crazy year of thrills and fun, these Southend rockers are back with plenty of drive and are ready to take even more people by storm.

Exploring themes of unrequited love and blind devotion, No Real Control is a serious track that has plenty of energy. The band have had the SS2 Recordings treatment on this one and with its classy guitar licks, pounding percussion and anthemic chorus, it doesn’t disappoint. There’s a vibrant new-wave edge about it, but ultimately it’s full of the rocked up sound that we know and love.

The Trusted show influences from many corners of the rock spectrum and a lot their music, along with their live performances, have a strong amount gritty post-punk thrown in. Their latest is the finest example of this and you can’t help but imagine it being performed right in front of you.

To help your imagination come to life, the band have shared a music video to go with the new single. Shot on the stunning expanse of Southend-on-Sea strand by Mike Briggs, you can see the four-piece in full form doing what they do best all from the view of a drone. It’s a fantastic video to go with a fantastic track.

From playing The Great Escape to gaining plenty of love from BBC Introducing, The Trusted have already had a busy 2018. Now that they are loaded with a brand new single for the summer, the guys are pumped to hit the road for more. We can’t wait to see where they go and what they come up with next, but all we know for now is that they are definitely in real control of their music.
