Southend’s freshest indie-pop band Rooskin have unveiled their second single and it goes hand in hand with the summer sunshine we’re having in the UK at the moment. Sunseeker is the title and it’s an upbeat, feelgood track that’s perfect for hitting the road with.

It was a clear choice to be the next single according to the Rooskin guys and we couldn’t agree more. From the jangly guitars to the punchy drums, Sunseeker has been crafted in a commercial way and has one of the catchiest choruses you’ll hear this summer. They have thrown all of their influences into one basket for this one and there’s everything from ambient pop synths to a country style lap steel, so you’re in for a real treat.

The most notable part is a killer trumpet section that comes alive as the song progresses. It takes the single to next level and even though it jumbles up the genres even more, it works perfectly. Overall, Sunseeker is three of the best minutes you’ll spend this summer and it will leave you wanting more.

Rooskin hit the road with Tugboat Captain this month playing shows at Peggy Sue’s in Leigh-on-Sea on the 30th July as well dates in Bristol, Plymouth and Torquay.

Sunseeker is definitely a strong follow up to their debut single Goldfish and we can’t wait to hear the avenues that they explore next. Listen to the new single below and be sure to keep up to date with Rooskin here.
