If you’re a fan of bands like The National or Frightened Rabbit, BRIDGES are bound to be right up your street. Their airy blend of alternative rock is capturing the attention of people all over the UK and you’re up next.

The bands latest single Maths, Science and English is a song about moving on whilst still being there for those that matter most. It’s a well crafted, upbeat track that will hold your attention throughout. The lead vocals sit perfectly at the front of the mix as rocked up drums forge a path for the rest of the instruments to seep through.

Maths, Science and English has an empowering, atmospheric sound with a strong commercial edge. It’s not a track that you’ll grow tired of quickly at all and even though it fits into the modern rock world very well, there’s a slight rawness that makes their honest lyrics shine.

Lead singer Ethan tells us more about the new single:

“I wrote Maths when I’d moved back to my hometown for a while. I’d realised that I had lost touch with a few friends, and somewhat my family, where I had been away. That period in time I remember being a bit of a roller coaster. Though it seems like a dark sentiment at first glance, to me it feels quite the opposite; something I could say to remind the people important to me.”

With an EP out on the 27th September entitled On And On Like This, BRIDGES are a band that we’ll be keeping a close eye on. They have already received praise from the likes of Clash and Amazing Radio, played slots at Wilderness Festival and supported artists such as George Ezra and All Tvvins. With a classy new single to support all of that, their EP is bound to impress and we can’t wait to hear it.
