We were first introduced to BRIDGES a couple of months ago and absolutely loved the airy rock sound of Maths, Science and English. The band are back with a brand new single straight from the release of their EP, it’s called Ghouls and it’s absolutely brilliant.

Ghouls is a lively, mid-tempo track that is driven by electric guitars and highly distinctive lead vocals. Gradually building throughout, it’s a single that will captivate you in many ways – from the clean sounds of the verses, to pure distortion and crashing drums in the choruses. It’s a contrast to Maths, Science and English but it fits in with it perfectly and highlights what good songwriters the band are.

Ethan from BRIDGES gives us an insight into what Ghouls is all about below:

“For me the song is nostalgic and probably my favourite on the EP. It’s tied to people moving on before you do and the difficulties that can create. ‘Maybe I’m not your ghoul, to pass straight through’. Things change, but everything works out in time – with our new line up now complete we are starting to feel that.”

Ghouls is also accompanied by a wonderfully shot music video. It was filmed on a small stage in a dark room that shows the band in all of their glory, which is rather fitting considering they shared it on Halloween – where they also played a sold out show at London’s Sebright Arms.

Overall, Ghouls is an incredibly strong single that follows up their last very well. BRIDGES are definitely a band to watch and we’re big of what they are doing – we can’t wait to hear more.
