Vistas are one of the finest new indie-rock bands the UK has to offer. The Edinburgh trio have just released ‘Eighteen’ and if you’re a fan of bands such as Circa Waves, you’ll love this.

These guys have been up and coming for a couple of years but are well and truly on their way to being a true breakthrough act. They have received millions of streams on Spotify, plays on BBC Radio 1 and 6 Music as well as praise from the likes of Clash and DIY. Their new single was playlisted on Spotify’s New Music Friday UK playlist (but we know that you would rather check it out on our New Music Weekly playlist here).

‘Eighteen’ is their latest high-tempo track and it’s bound to gain even more attention than their last. The chorus is huge, the melodies are infectious and there’s endless amounts of energy. Driven by bright guitars and distinctive vocals, this single is definitely up there with some of the best tracks we have heard so far this year. It has an undeniable feelgood factor about it, similar to tracks like of Circa Waves’ ‘T-Shirt Weather’.

The band explain what ‘Eighteen’ is about below:

“Eighteen is about looking back on the best summer of your life and wishing you could go back to that moment. What often happens when you look back on those moments is you can forget about some of the bad sides of those experiences because your memory is clouded by nostalgia.”

Vistas are definitely set to have a successful 2019 and have support slots confirmed for Fatherson and Circa Waves later in the year. For indie fans, ‘Eighteen’ is a track that you’ll likely have on repeat. We can’t wait for their next release but in the meantime listen to their new single below on Spotify.
