Katie Mac has shared a brilliant new music video for her track ‘Into The Wild’. Featuring on her debut EP entitled ‘Believe’ from last year, the Liverpool based singer/songwriter wanted to create something extra to go along with the release.
‘Into The Wild’ is a song that sums up Mac’s music perfectly. As with all of her releases, her distinctive vocal tone leads the way and complements her highly original songwriting. With a full band production behind this one, it’s a track that engages you throughout. From the rocked up chorus to the mellow bridge, it’s definitely a true songwriter’s song.
The music video aligns extremely well with all of this. Set in the wild, the first half was filmed in the woods where we see Mac passionately singing and children running free. As the track settles down in the bridge, the video switches to sandy beaches and the sea, which is followed by the children running dramatically as the rest of the band kicks back in.
We have been following Katie Mac since we started back in 2017 and we’re huge fans of what she does. The video for ‘Into The Wild’ was filmed and edited by James McDougall and Joel Punchard. It was directed by Steffi Sweeney (Wives Tales) and Jessica Huckerby. The children were allowed out of acting class for the day and it looks like they had a blast (Acting Angels).
Mac’s EP ‘Believe’ was actually recorded in our hometown of Southend-on-Sea at SS2 Recordings and produced by Sam Duckworth (Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly). With new music on the way for 2019, Katie Mac is looking to make this year a huge success.
