Introducing new band
You’re a brand new band on the scene, how did you form and what style of music can we expect to hear from you?
We’ve all been in bands before, and we decided that when we came together we’d try something none of us had done before. We had a bunch of demos prior to Mads joining, and when she came along it really took the songs to a new level and defined the new direction we eventually went in. You could say it’s Alternative Rock, with some electronic instruments and samples thrown into a heavy sound.
You have been building a very active following online already without a single out, which is fantastic. When will your debut be unveiled?
Thank you, yeah, we’re lucky to have such an engaged audience. Our debut single is gonna be out in April! We’re excited to get it out there. Keep your eyes (and ears) peeled!
Being a new group of musicians, you must have a varied selection of influences – how do you put all of them together?
I think that’s only natural, we’re four different people with different musical backgrounds. All our influences compliment one another when we’re writing, so that’s a good thing! But some of our main influences are Kasabian, Queens of the Stone Age, Blondie, LCD Sound System and Biffy Clyro.
Between you, what’s the ultimate band that are inspiring you to launch this new project?
It’s hard to pin down one band! Again, it’s probably a mix of all our influences. A lot of our drive comes from going to gigs and seeing bands we love, and saying to one another after, “we could be doing that”.
Will you be gigging this year? If so, when and where?
Of course! We’ve just announced a support show with SPINN (who we dig) at The Horn in St Albans. Buzzing for that one. There’ll be more shows to follow, hopefully up north too.
You’re taking a DIY approach to recording – is this something you had in mind to do from the start?
Not from the start. The decision to do so came as we started to demo the tracks. We wanted to take our time recording the first time
