If you’re active on the Southend music scene then you’ll know the name Leo C. The Essex singer/songwriter has recently released a new single entitled ‘Nothing Nothing’ and it’s a song that echoes sounds of the past.

Leo C is an artist who is influenced by some of the finest singer/songwriters, including Bob Dylan. His writing style is somewhat of a throwback and would fit in well during the 1960s or 70s. It makes him an artist who is instantly recognisable on our local music scene.

‘Nothing Nothing’ is no exception to his old school sound. It’s even been recorded in a way to enrich classic elements in his songwriting. Recorded at the quaint Side-On Recordings and produced by Elliott Paterson, the single is relatively mellow but distinctive. It’s a strong song that sits perfectly with his previous releases.

Still only in his late teens, Leo C is an artist who has been making waves on the Southend scene over the past 12 months. He is heavily involved with SoSlam and is looking to branch out more into the county. A local artist to watch and one that you’ll be hearing a lot more of in the future.
