Southend’s loudest, most outrageous band were the perfect introduction to Village Green for fans of rock music. Suspects blasted through their set on the Idea13 Stage and we loved every second.
The punk-rock duo are Southend’s answer to Royal Blood, only with even more volume. They’re part of the Cool Thing Records family and it’s easy to see why they are gaining plenty of popularity at the moment. Their pumping set at Village Green followed the release of their new EP ‘Recovery’ and it was great to see the songs live in action.
Powering through early songs as well as new ones including ‘Recovery’, the crowd literally went wild from start to finish. Frontman Thomas Prescott even climbed into the crowd with his guitar and microphone to perform.
These guys are definitely a band to turn up to 11 and if you haven’t seen them live yet, then you’re seriously missing out.
Check out our their new EP below and be sure to follow the band online here.
We would also like to say a huge thanks to Olly Clements for the incredible photos. Be sure to follow him on Instagram here.
