We are excited to share the first official single release from the much loved Under The Apple Tree Sessions. Entitled ‘Hollywood Forever’ by Dan Bettridge, this stripped back live version is a haunting track with warm acoustic tones and outstanding lead vocals.

Recorded in Oxfordshire at the Under The Apple Tree studio by Miles Myerscough-Harris, ‘Hollywood Forever’ is the start of something new. Under The Apple Tree are a leading name on the UK country and americana scene with their live sessions and events, but this new single is the first to make it onto streaming services as an official release.

Bettridge explains more about his latest single below:

“‘Hollywood Forever’ was written after spending time in LA, and a conversation I had with a producer about an artist who’d come to Hollywood looking for ‘the dream’. The age old story of getting caught up with the wrong people and the wrong things. It’s a comment on the ongoing exodus of people that go to that city. I’m not condemning it, on the contrary, I find it really interesting. The part of the song that repeats ‘Where ya coming from? Where ya going to?’ is something you hear from almost everyone you meet – “Where have you come from? What have you come here to become?””

Born in Wales, Dan Bettridge has been making a name for himself over the past five years. He is best known for his distinctive voice and writing well crafted songs of various genres. He met Bob Harris back in 2015 and has gained his support ever since, hence this first release with Under The Apple Tree. Bettridge is a true rising artist with a lot to give and is bound for great things in music.

You can catch Dan Bettridge live at one of the dates below:
